MIKE SCHMIDT Michael Jack Schmidt
(born September 27, 1949) is a Hall of Fame third baseman popularly
considered among the greatest third basemen in the history of Major
League Baseball. He played his entire career for the Philadelphia
Phillies. Schmidt had an unusual batting stance, turning his back
somewhat to the pitcher and shaking his derriere while waiting for the
pitch. By standing far back in the batter's box, he made it impossible
to jam him by pitching inside. Schmidt was one of the best athletes of
his time; teammate Pete Rose once said, "To have his body, I'd trade
him mine and my wife's, and I'd throw in some cash."

Authenticity Process and
Sports Memorabilia 100% Guarantee We assure 100% authenticity of each
piece sold from our auction. The photos are singular expressions and
each signature is genuine and one of a kind. Examinations are performed
independently with a certificate of authenticity being issued for each
piece. Our authenticators have the highest level of objectivity and
hold no financial interest in the certifying process, which allows them
to maintain an independent opinion. We use only qualified
authenticators who have been credentialed as expert document examiners.
Scientific principles are used to examine each piece. Scientific
principals may include but are not limited to writing instruments, ink
comparisons, area measurements as well as the use of ultraviolet and
infrared lighting and a stereoscopic microscope.
In addition, we believe
that it is important for buyers to keep in mind that there are many
self-proclaimed experts that attempt to render their opinion as truth,
fabricating their credentials and qualifications. It is essential to
look beyond advertised qualifications and base conclusions on findings
and facts. A certified forensic examiner will never change his or her
mind about the authenticity of any decision made. Their decision will
be supported by scientific principles and hold up in a court of law.
Unlike others in this market who claim no liability to their customers,
stating that opinions may change, we stand behind the authenticity of
each piece and will not knowingly sell any forged items. Additionally,
we also randomly select certified pieces from our collection and
resubmit to a second authenticator.
We offer a 30 day 100%
refund guarantee. If for any reason you are unsatisfied with your
Sports Memorabilia purchase, you may return it for a full merchandise
refund.

What is Proxy Bidding?
Proxy bidding is a convenient way to automatically bid on your items without having to continually return to your computer to check on your auctions. A Proxy Bid is a bid automatically placed by the auction system on your behalf based on the Maximum Bid Amount that you set for the particular listing. Each time you place a bid by entering your maximum bid amount (which is the most you're willing to pay for an item), you will be using our Proxy bidding system. If another bidder places a bid on your item, Proxy bidding will then bid automatically on your behalf and at the lowest possible bid increments, but not more than the maximum you specified.
The goal is to win an item at the lowest successful price. To do so, you must be the bidder who placed the highest maximum bid at auction close. You will be notified by email if another bidder has surpassed your maximum bid. In case of a tie for high bidder, earlier bids will take precedence.
Time Left to Bid and Overtime Bidding
Time Left to Bid
Always At Auction displays a countdown clock to the auction close time. This countdown clock represents the time you have left to bid on that auction. If a bid is placed within the last 5 minutes of the auction close time, that auction will go into overtime.
Overtime Bidding
The Overtime Bidding feature works to ensure that bidders will always have a chance to challenge bids placed in the final seconds of an auction. When indicated on a listing page, if a bid is placed during the last 5 minutes of an open auction, the auction will be automatically extended for an additional 5 minutes from the time of the latest bid. There is no limit to the number of times an auction can be extended. Therefore, it is recommended that you check back frequently as an auction nears closing time. The auction will close once all bidding activity has stopped for a period of 5 minutes.
Note: If you have placed a bid when Overtime Bidding is engaged, you should refresh or reload your browser frequently (every 3 - 5 secs) so that it displays the most current bid status information.
What is Bid Increment?
The bid increment is the specified minimum amount you must bid over the current bid amount.
What is an English Auction?
In an English auction, buyers bid until the auction ends. The item is then sold to the highest bidder at the end of the auction period.
What is a Yankee Auction?
In a Yankee Auction, a product lot (a quantity of 2 or more identical products) goes up for auction at a starting price. You attempt to outbid other buyers by offering more money for one or more pieces in the lot. Your bid price is per each single piece and you may bid for more than one piece.
At the close of the auction, the products are awarded to the highest bidder(s) at the price they bid and for the quantity they bid for up to the available auction lot.
As an example, if 5 units are up for auction, and Bidder A bids $200 for 2 pieces, and Bidder B bids $175 for 1 piece and Bidder C bids $160 for 2 pieces, and Bidder D bids $150 for 1 piece. Bidders A, B, and C would all be winning bidders at the price each of them bid and for the quantity each of them bid for. Bidder D would be a losing bidder.
In the event that two different bidders bid the same price, then the winner is based on the quantity bid for and the time the bid was placed. Higher quantity and earliest bids take preference.
NOTE: There is no proxy bidding feature with Yankee auctions. If you win, the price you bid is the price you pay.
What does "Compare At" mean?
The "Compare At" price is the retail price at which an item or comparable item may, in the reasonable judgment of our experienced buyers, manufacturers or suppliers be sold on a everyday basis (i.e. excluding special promotions or sales) at retail stores. In many instances, though not all, "Compare At" price reflects a price suggested by the manufacturer or supplier of these goods, without reference to actual retail sales and may account to an estimation of a retail offer price in accordance with standard industry practices.
Because we sell our merchandise over the internet on a national basis, we make no guarantee that the products have been sold or offered at the "Compare At" price, and the price may or may not reflect the average prevailing market price in any area on a particular day. For some items listed as a set, the "Compare At" price may be an aggregate of the suggested or estimated prices for all items included in the set. Actual retail sales in your area may substantially differ from the "Compare At" price.
You may wish to use the "Compare At" price as a guide in your evaluation of our prices to what you would or could pay for these items in other locations, at other times, or under other conditions, including full retail.
